Edie Lune is a collaboration between friends, a collection of seasonally inspired, handmade books filled with original stories, recipes, and crafts created over the course of a year by Jessica Lewis Stevens and Michelle MacKay.  Edie Lune celebrates the wheel of the year with fully illustrated stories, thoughtful projects, and delicious drinks and bakes woven into the stories we tell. We are inspired by the work of the seasons, families at home, children’s play, place and memory, medicinal herbs, and the comforts of a life lived with heart.

Our summer story The Crown and the Pearl follows a small family as they pack up their things to move someplace new and still familiar. Our young main character Maeve feels the waves of emotion that come with moving, but her mother’s magic helps her through the transition. Our tale is woven with threads of seasong and scented with beachside roses.

Included in this issue: an illustrated original story, recipes for peachberry pie and summer rose lemonade, and tutorials for a hand-sewn summer kerchief and two ways to sew on a patch.

The zine’s cover is printed on an antique letterpress with red ink on a thick sky blue stock. Each 28-page zine is hand-bound with ivory cotton thread.
